I hear others vocalize their self limiting beliefs and I notice myself doing it from time to time as well. It's just rather interesting when they jump out at me how asinine they sound. Expectations are fickle things and they can be very subtle and sneaky. Depending on who I'm talking with and the context I'll point them out as I hear them,
but perhaps I should just be pointing them out all the time and making note of them like I try to do for myself.\n\nIt's clear that there are many subtle assumptions that we have about the world that define our existence and some of them may be necessary,
but others do nothing but stop us from trying to do something different. Our self limiting beliefs can actually make us insane in some ways. We claim to want change but don't believe it's possible and in the end we ultimately do nothing. Furthermore it begs the question in my mind of how much we don't do because we view it as impossible or irrational,
especially if there are clear cases of others doing it.\n- - -\n
![5a7d81e5a3b51df8b215555f501782ecad85dc67.jpg (https:\/\/ipfs.busy.org\/ipfs\/QmYvbVDtQ7BX52TqqqNSoZf3dmg1pAQ4K99qWMeJJzZMYX)\n<\/center>\n- - -\nThat being said,
I don't think it's really relevant whether or not anyone else has done something or can do something. From my perspective,
it's the people that dare to dream and do things that others view as impossible that actually succeed in doing something or creating something new. Perhaps all the reasons we tell ourselves that we can't or shouldn't do something is really just us getting in the way of doing what we want to do in the first place. It certainly seems that way to me.\n\nI'm not going to claim to be any kind of expert on breaking down expectations of reality at this point,
but I've managed to get my life into something that I actually enjoy from a previous place of believing that it wasn't worth living. That's a pretty big accomplishment in my mind,
but I've seen other things that just make me stare in awe. Physical limitations can be overcome,
mental hurdles can be jumped,
and ultimately I feel that we can do anything that we actually believe is possible and want to do.\n- - -\n
![dream_jh5bywnbsfq.jpg (https:\/\/ipfs.busy.org\/ipfs\/QmZZAzTyYCzH3eCD6ZD9ai4UqLinBtcYStBKN1Sb2WzHrb)\n<\/center>\n- - -\nI know as well as anyone that it's not easy to break down these beliefs,
especially since we're unaware of many of them. The first step is obviously becoming aware of them. If we can become aware of our own self limiting beliefs and break them down to the core issues,
we can address them and start doing things that we previously viewed as impossible. We shouldn't let others dictate how we live our lives and we have to be willing to question and breakdown our own beliefs,
but perhaps that is what life is really all about: Not settling,
risking it all,
and never giving up. Enjoy it while it lasts.
