(Australia) - Eastern Rosella (https:\/\/peakd.com\/@alphaccino.art\/what-bird-is-that-australia-eastern-rosella)\n\n***\n\n# Australian Eastern Rosella\n*Platycercus eximius*\n* Species common to area\n* Endemic race found only in Australia\n\n---\n\n![Imgur (https:\/\/i.imgur.com\/MYOYTkR.jpg)\n\n---\n\nApologies for the poor quality photos today,<br> however these two snaps were all I was able to manage before this little bird and his mate flew off into the wind. \n\nObviously,<br> the photos won't be winning any awards or prizes but they are good enough to allow me to record this sighting as a *bird-watching success*... and since I'm the judge of my own tally anyway,<br> then I certainly deem this photo to be worthy of getting a tick in **The Bird Book**.\n\nAnyhoo,<br> (for those that can *see* the bird in the photo lol) this is an Australian Eastern Rosella and there have been two of these guys teasing me from the other side of my window,<br> ALL DAY... \n\nMeanwhile,<br> I've been on the computer doing some work (*ahem... yes... work... that's what we'll call it... lol*) and whenever I heard them I'd look up to see if I could find them. \n\nWhen I finally took a break and picked up my camera,<br> yep... you guessed it,<br> my battery was flat. (*Murphy must've used it last*)\n\nThankfully,<br> just as I was finishing off my work,<br> I heard them outside calling again and I ran out just in time to get these last couple of photos while I still could. \n\nJust a short post today,<br> to record my sighting... Back yellow-green,<br> outer feathers blue,<br> white tips. Lower-breast yellow,<br> belly lime-green; undertail converts red.*<sup>1<\/sup>\n\n*Females\/Immature: White underwing-bars.*<sup>1<\/sup>\n\n*Voice: Bell-like on one note.
