I decided to do that when i considered a few factors.

The time i could save when going to the gym

The money on gas i could save

Unnecessary distractions

The time...

Depending on where your gym is located,
it could take you a good chunk of time to get there. Based on where i am now,
It would take me about 20 minutes to get to the gym. No one would want to spend that time on the road and only go workout for 30 minutes and come back home. So i would say most people end up working out about a good hour before leaving the gym. If i worked out for an hour,
and took another 20 minutes to drive home,
That will be a total of 1 hour and 40 minutes at least. In some cases worse. Although it's for a good purpose,
it's a lot of time to come up with. In our busy age when there are so many things to get done. Coming up with that time can not only be difficult,
but can on it's own discourage you from working out at all. Working out at home automatically saves you the time on the road and leave you way ahead of your life game.

The money...

Time on the road to the gym means extra money for gas,
food etc. All this money used could go somewhere else with our growing expenses whilst still being able to workout fully. What about the day you don't have money for gas? You can certainly find other means whether it's a taxi or a ride from friend. That will cost you money and perhaps a disadvantage to your friend. Working out at home saves you from all this stress while still being able to get your workout done.

Unnecessary distractions...

Now i know,
there can be distractions at home as well,
but based on my experience you have more control on what is yours than what isn't. You can manage the distractions at home more easily than at a public gym. You don't want to be working out whilst being distracted by that long time friend who you can't help but stop and say hello to. What if other similar things happened multiple times? That would ruin your workout. An almost unproductive day at the gym. After spending all that time on the road and investing all that money,
you don't want that to happen to you for a single day,
not to talk of daily. You have more control over the distractions at home than at the gym where you have less control.

More reasons...

Now there are a lot more reasons i decided to work out at home but these are the first that came to mind. Once you start working out at home,
it will take you time to adjust and you'll realize how beneficial it is to workout in your own crib.

So because of that,
i came up with my own workout. It started out with a few routines as i always start small. With time,
i adjust it based on what's beneficial to me,
effective,
needed etc. I have done that over and over again with time to the point where i now have a good set of workout routines.

Why don't you move a bit faster? - Me :D

In the olden days,
i used to workout and it took me about an hour,
even at home. I didn't want to spend all that time,
although again,
it was for a good purpose. I wanted to save time and use it on other things as well while still achieving maximum benefits. I figured i can slash that time in half by just going a bit faster on each routine. So i did just that,
and i can't tell you how happy i am as a person. Your workout becomes more intensive,
which means you burn a lot of calories and achieve maximum benefits,
and the good thing,
you save a lot of precious time.

Why i workout daily and not the traditional 3,
4,
5 times a week...

Because i figured i can. 30 minutes means time i can take out everyday of my life,
doing something that can add years to my life and be extremely beneficial to me. There's no excuse. I've spend hours and hours behind video games(which i must say have also entertained me greatly),
why can't i spend just 30 minutes daily. What would be the difference if took 2 or 3 days off. For what? to rest? I sleep daily anyway,
why can't i use that time to rest from an intensive 30 minutes workout out of a good 24 hours of which I'm not going to use all of it to do that much of an intensive work. I don't know about your schedule. But i figured we can all squeeze in and do this. I have done this to the point i think i can even do this twice daily and still be fine. But i am not going to do that for now. A 30 minute workout daily is enough for me,
works for me perfectly and is all i need for now. And i have no reason to think you can't.

Yes you can! - President Obama

My workout...

So i did just that and came up with this list. I time myself using my iPhone and every time it takes me about a little under or over 30 minutes. My best time i can remember was 27 minutes and my worst time(I was really burned out) was about 35 minutes. Each day is a challenge to keep it max 30 minutes. Keeping it at 30 means that I'm achieving the target. Killing it in less than that is a test of strength,
resilience etc and it testament of how good I'm becoming. Going over 30 shows how more of an effort that needs to be put in my workout. I love this challenge everyday.

So let me tell you about my workout and explain what i do briefly. I am not a fitness expert. Most of these routines are traditional routines that make sense. Others I've seen and come up with my own customized way. I've adjusted and continue to do so here and there,
based on what is SAFE,
not an overkill and what works best for me. So here is the list. Again I'm not a fitness expert so the way I'm going to explain this will make you laugh you'll probably crack your ribs. Haha just kidding. It features a good mix of cardio and strength exercises and i take 10-15 second rest in between each routine.

And i do all of it without any heavy external weightlifting or gym equipments.

500 steps hopping

I don't move from place to place. I stand in the same position. And run,
without moving. Haha. Similar to hoping,
one leg after the other. I do 250 steps at a regular pace as I'm just starting out and another 250 at a fast pace.

Stomach exercises A.K.A ab workouts

I couldn't find a suitable gif image for this one haha. I do 8 different sets of these. There are a ton of them out there. Pick what works for you and do them.
