This is a place where I would come to escape the summer heat under the cover of the leafy trees and swim in the cool crisp water that flows through the falls.\n\n![moss wall.jpg (https:\/\/steemitimages.com\/DQmdepV325CvyQytUZf17MmzQSnSNjj6RCMpw4XXo9VtuF8\/moss%20wall.jpg)\n\nSomersby Falls is just a short 7 min drive from the Gosford exit on the Pacific Highway. It is an easy accessible slice of heaven that draws locals and tourists alike.\n\n![mossy falls steemit.jpg (https:\/\/steemitimages.com\/DQmVV1eyL8XR8N92nFYCzYQoQdeKFsRRoJUTc72qc6FaLjm\/mossy%20falls%20steemit.jpg)\n\nThe very top fall is by far the easiest to get to and the larger of the falls. Most people will come and picnic along side it but if you are brave enough to descend the steep stairs with the guidance of only a rope tied to the trees for support you will be rewarded with yet another beautiful fall and a gorgeous view. This fall is not as tall but it\u2019s wide and you can walk behind the flowing water. Surrounding the fall is lush green foliage with water that flows and twists through the holes carved into the rock.\n\n![DSC_0481.JPG (https:\/\/steemitimages.com\/DQmevVfZzvgCDu3Wf4ptgS1tLcGvUqefxzmPd76Mn715N2V\/DSC_0481.JPG)\n\nVenturing further off the beaten track,
the path is less travelled and almost doesn't exist. We follow the water,
this will take you through some thicker flora until you reach where the water pools. By now you are hot,
sweaty and desperate for a swim. Its rare to find anyone here most are unaware of the pools existence. The water is dark,
cool and refreshing because it's so deep. You can jump from the ledge above but I advise that you always check first. I've been here many times so I know where to jump safely but you can never be sure if there has been a fallen tree.\n\nHope you enjoyed coming along with us on this adventure to Somersby Falls! The lush green rainforest and flowing water is super calming and made for a great Sunday getaway.\n\nAs always,
thanks for stopping by my blog.\n\nPeace!\n\n[\/\/ :# (!steemitworldmap -33.401098 lat 151.270256 long The Hidden Treasures Of Somersby Falls d3scr)",
"json_metadata":" \"tags\":[\"nature\",
\"travel\",
\"photography\",
\"photocircle\",
\"life\" ,
\"users\":[\"harrynewman\" ,
\"image\":[\"https:\/\/steemitimages.com\/DQmYQsraNp2UQArgerhadRv6zAsVsK7k4YSKNyr27ftsB29\/somersby%20falls.jpg\",
\"https:\/\/steemitimages.com\/DQmdepV325CvyQytUZf17MmzQSnSNjj6RCMpw4XXo9VtuF8\/moss%20wall.jpg\",
\"https:\/\/steemitimages.com\/DQmVV1eyL8XR8N92nFYCzYQoQdeKFsRRoJUTc72qc6FaLjm\/mossy%20falls%20steemit.jpg\",
\"https:\/\/steemitimages.com\/DQmevVfZzvgCDu3Wf4ptgS1tLcGvUqefxzmPd76Mn715N2V\/DSC_0481.JPG\" ,
\"app\":\"steemit\/0.1\",
\"format\":\"markdown\" " |
