Security agents found three heads in these 4 students bag. These girls are in their early 20's they were holding a big handbag and they boarded a taxi from from Isolo heading to lekki\nThe driver being vigilant & sensitive felt a strong smell coming from their bag. The horrible smell made the driver suspicious, whom then use the light to signal the police at the stop and search point but because of 100 naira the police were too busy to notice this.\nWhen the taxi driver got to mushin, he raised alarm they held those Girls and beckoned security agents around to search the girl's bag. Many people were afraid not knowing what was happening.       "body": "Here is the truth about what happened to Hellen Wanjiru Ngure.\n\nHellen was a 32 year old mother of two children, 8 and 5 years. She was pregnant with her third child. \n\nShe was killed.\n\nHer crime? She dared to get pregnant in a country where maternal health care is so pathetic that in 2019, mothers still die while bringing forth life due to complications that could have been prevented and hospital negligence that has become too common but nothing can be done because corruption is shameless, it does not care if a mother and her child died, bribes are exchanged and the story becomes that, just a story.\n\nHellen was taken to St Teresa hospital in Kikuyu by her husband on Tuesday morning, 23/04/19 which was her EDD. She was induced at 2:30 pm. She was induced during her 2 previous deliveries. \n\nAt around 8:30 pm. Hellen started to bleed while in her labor ward. Her husband called for help from the nurse on duty who told him that the bleeding was normal and therefore did not check on Hellen. Hellen’s husband has photos of Hellen walking around her labour room with blood dropping on the floor.\n\nThe bleeding increased and the husband went back to the nurse to ask for help. The nurse was feeding a newborn baby, and only attended to Hellen after she was done feeding the baby. Her husband was asked to leave the room.\n\nAt around 9:30 the nurse called for Hellen’s  husband and told him that Hellen’s case was an emergency and asked him to consent for the CS. \n\nBy this time, Hellen was very weak and could not raise her arms. The husband signed the consent forms and stayed with Hellen as the nurse tried to call for doctors. \n\nHellen’s state deteriorated.\n\nAt around 11pm one doctor arrived and Hellen was taken to theatre. \n\nAt around 2 am and not having received any update on Hellen, her husband called his sister who is a nurse. The sister came all the way from Kiambu hospital and forced her way to the theatre only to find Hellen and her baby dead. \n\nThere was no one to tell them what happened to Hellen and her baby. The doctors ran away or hid in the hospital and no one could give any information on what happened to Hellen.\n\nFrustrated, Hellen’s husband called 999 and asked for help. Police responded by first calling the hospital but no one answered their calls. Kikuyu police station then sent two policemen to the hospital. (Thank you police, Kikuyu OCPD, OCS and deputy DCIO)\n\nAt around 6am, Wednesday morning, the hospital director, not the doctor, told Hellen’s husband and his sister that Hellen passed on during the CS. \n\nShortly after,  2 policemen arrived at the hospital and recorded a statement with the hospital director.\n\nThe policemen then asked Hellen’s husband to accompany them to the police station to record his statement. He later returned to the hospital accompanied by Deputy DCIO and some police officers. They requested for a postmortem.\n\nUnfortunately, Hellen’s records were missing and hence postmortem was not possible. The pathologists and police left the hospital.\n\nThe family, stranded, waited all day  without any communication from the hospital and retired at around 9 pm.\n\nThe following day, Thursday, after Hellen’s story caught a lot of attention (many thanks to the media and Boniface Mwangi), a postmortem was eventually done and revealed that Hellen died from shock, after losing a lot of blood and that it is possible that Hellen was already dead, or was already in shock when she was taken to theatre. Her baby did not take a single breath.\n\nWe do not know at what time her baby got into distress because the doctor’s report showed that during admission, the baby’s heartbeat was normal. Also, at admission, Hellen’s vitals were ok, her blood count was normal.  \n\nWe also do not know at what point the CS was done, when the baby was removed, when blood transfusion was done, if the hospital has a blood bank, we are not sure if the hospital has Hellen’s records, if they know her blood group because the doctor admitted that he was not very well briefed about Hellen. He also admitted to have been called at 10:30 pm and yet Hellen started to bleed at 8:30 pm. So, Hellen bled for about 3 hours before she was taken for an emergency CS.\n\nWhy did the hospital admit Hellen if they did not have the capacity, no doctor around? The doctor also admitted that there was no gynecologist in theatre during the CS, and yet  he went ahead and removed Hellen’s uterus.\n\nWas there an overuse of cytotec, the drug used in induction, did they record the amount they used in Hellen’s records? (We are waiting for results from samples that were taken for analysis). It will take months.\n\nWhat caused Hellen’s bleeding?\n\nI am not a doctor but is it ok to transfuse blood on a patient not reversed from anesthesia? I’d love to know. They said that they tried to resuscitate her for one hour before transfusion. \n\nWhy didn’t they update her husband who was banging on doors and shouting for someone to tell him what was going on?\n\nWhy did the doctor run away or hide after Hellen died?\n\nWhy did they fail to be present the first time we requested for a postmortem?\n\nWhy did they refuse to give the pathologists Hellen’s file?\n\nWhat changed that the hospital agreed to a postmortem on day two?\n\nWhy did the hospital bring in an unqualified pathologist for the postmortem? This delayed the postmortem and we ended spending another whole day at the hospital.\n\nHow is the doctor sleeping in the night knowing very well that he is hiding something?\n\nHow is the nurse feeling when she looks at her children, if she has any, knowing very well that she let Hellen down by not checking and monitoring her and now Hellen’s 2 children do not have a mother because of her negligence?\n\nWhen will women stop dying while giving birth in this country? \n\nWhat the f$&& is Beyond Zero maternal deaths for?\n\nWe all know that nothing will happen to that hospital, another story will happen elsewhere and life goes on, and we will keep burying our mothers, wives, sisters and daughters who the only thing they want is to experience the miracle of childbirth.\n\nAnd let’s not kid ourselves, we know how things work in this country, who is already compromised since Hellen’s story broke? Can dead mothers ever get justice in this country?\n\nGetting pregnant in this country is like signing up for your own death. \n\nBut to all expectant women and mothers who would like to have more children and are scared after hearing stories like Hellen’s, do not despair. Hellen’s mother prayed for you. \n\nWhen Hellen went into labour, she asked her mother and sister to say a rosary for her. They did. Her mother kept  vigil, praying. Her prayers do not go in vain.       "body": "this problem that has torn apart and is threatening my happiness, my daughters and probably the future generations yet unborn.\n\nI married my husband just like every other young woman and we both looked forward to a bliss full future with our children. To the glory of God, contrary to the belief of some people that I would have problems bearing children, I received God’s mercy and my three children came few years into our union.\n\nA lot of people believed we would have to wait on the Lord for the blessing of the fruit of the womb as that was the tradition in my husband’s family, but God singled us out with mercy and we had our children without any hitch.\n\nWith these, our joy was complete and we never envisaged that these children would be a source of discord in our family in the future.\n\nI am a trained nurse with a B Sc in nursing from Glasgow Scotland, my husband also trained as a professional engineer. We both had good jobs until my husband lost his job and getting another good well paid job became difficult, we both decided that I should travel out of the country to practise and when I am stabilised, he would join me with the children.\n\nAs luck would have it, I secured a good job and no sooner had I got to England than my husband secured a good job too. We had it all, which was what we thought. I would have returned immediately, but since my been over there made it convenient for my family to visit on holidays and my children were not too young, I faced my job and sincerely my husband did a good job taking care of the children.\n\nThe summer my first daughter turned 18, it was my turn to visit home. When I arrived, I noticed a tensed atmosphere between my daughters and their father. I forgot to mention the fact that I am blessed with three children, two girls and a boy, the boy is the last.\n\nInitially, I thought it was the adolescence – parent’s issue, so I ignored it. But when I noticed that apart from the tensed atmosphere, my first daughter sometimes would be outrightly rude to her father, I demanded to know what was going on. This became a matter of concern because, both of them were very close and my husband addresses her as Iya Mi (My mother) because of the uncanny resemblance she has with my mother-in-law, so I wondered what could have happened.\n\nI tried several times to get my daughters to speak with me and tell me why they treat their father with such impunity, but all they had to say was always talk to your husband. On a faithful day, I had to call my husband’s attention to what I saw and asked him what was going on. He told me it was nothing he couldn’t handle and that I shouldn’t worry myself. According to him, my eldest daughter was keeping bad company in school and she was trying to draw her younger sister into it.\n\nBecause of this, he decided to bench them, as he disallowed them from going out and attending parties. He drops them in school and created time to pick them from school. On days that he had to travel, he made plans to get them home. This of course did not go down well with them and he wasn’t ready to bend the rules for now.\n\nI was happy because I knew it was a positive development and because of their age I know this wouldn’t go down well with them. I then ignored their attitude until few days that I wanted to travel back to the UK. I called my eldest daughter first to speak with her. When I raised my observations and my husband’s response with her, her reply threw me off balance.\n\nMy daughter told me that daddy does not want her sister and herself to go out because he is having sex with both of them. I thought I didn’t hear her well.\n\nI ask her to repeat what she said, she repeated herself again and asked me to confirm from her sister.\n\nI summoned my younger daughter immediately and she said the same thing. My life crashed that very moment and in asked if they could repeat what they told me before their father. They said they would. When my husband came back from the office, I sought an audience with him and told him what the girls said. He said I was joking and said I should call the girls. I did and they repeated what they told me.\n\nMy husband denied vehemently and the girls insisted that it was happening. I was confused and I sought the counsel of our pastor, he called my daughters and they said the same thing. I was confused and I didn’t know who to believe. This shattered my world and my husband became something else. He was hurt that I of all people refused to believe him.\n\nI made arrangement and took my children back to the UK with me. Although it cost me a lot moneywise, but I couldn’t leave my children with him any longer, a lot of things changed for him. He lost all his friends and even some of his family members abandoned him. People alluded a lot of reasons why he would sleep with his daughters. Some said he did it for spiritual purpose. Some said he was using them for money ritual and I also had a reason to think that his fortune changed just after I left, automatically, he must have used my girls.\n\nI didn’t want to have anything to do with him. He tried to make me see that it was the devils machination to destroy our family but I was past caring. I raised my children alone, although he offered to help several times, but I didn’t want to have anything to do with him. I learnt later that he remarried years after we left him. He became ill with psychiatry problem and he had to be remanded in a home.\n\nMy son cared about him and he was always communicating with him. As soon as he finished his education, he came back to Nigeria to stay close to his father and it was through him that we learnt of all that was happening to him.\n\nMy problems started when it was time for my daughters to get married and they couldn’t find suitors. It wasn’t even an issue of having relationships and experiencing disappointments. They never had dated. Initially, I didn’t see the situation as a problem because I felt they were experiencing psychological problems as a result of what happened during their teenage years.\n\nThey went through different counseling and other therapies but it didn’t help. One of my friends suggested that we seek spiritual help when my first daughter turned 36 years. We sought spiritual assistance from our pastor in London, a white man after prayers he said my daughters were suffering from a curse and they needed deliverance. Probably because he was not explicit, we went through several deliverance sessions, but the situation didn’t change.\n\nMy elder sister asked us to come back home. After visiting several pastors, we went to see one of the popular Pentecostal pastors in the country. After prayers, he asked my daughters to confess their sins so that they can be free of the curse they placed on themselves. They denied knowledge of what the pastor said.\n\nWe left but their situation remained the same. Another friend of mine took us to another church, this time a spiritual church. After prayers, the spiritual head told my daughters that they had destroyed someone’s marital bliss and someone who wasn’t supposed to cry over them shed bitter tears because of what they did. He told us that the only way out is for them to seek the person out, confess their sins and ask for forgiveness.\n\nMy eldest sister started to deny again but her sister busted into tears and said she would confess. She said they both lied that their father did not have sex with them. She said her sister asked her to collaborate her story years back because their father does not give them the freedom to do what they wanted.\n\nI was devastated by their confession. The man of God asked them to confess and let everyone who heard what they accused their father of know that they lied. Some of these people are dead. Apart from this, their father is mentally ill and can no identify with his environment. Would he be able to understand and forgive them? I am yet to come to terms with why they destroyed all of us. Right now I have suffered a partial stroke because I still cannot fathom why.\n\nPlease ease, where do we start from? My life is full of regrets. Probably, I should have trusted my husband, but as at that time, I couldn’t have done otherwise.
