This is no small feat, so I started this year off with the Whole 30, 2 weeks into my first round of the Whole 30 I was DESPERATE to find a good coffee creamer! So I reached out to my facebook friends begging for some Whole 30/Paleo options. To say I came up short is an understatement. While I appreciate all the help the suggestions were just not that tasty. Except for one that is! So if you are like me and can't stomach drinking coffee black and are struggling to gag down the unsweetened, non-dairy nut "milks" out there TRY THIS RECIPE! I swear I can eat this mix right out of the jar, it is seriously *that* good!  **INGREDIENTS** 1 can 13.5 ounces of coconut cream (unsweetened) 1/2 cup of dates (medjool pitted) 2 tablespoons of collagen peptides powder 1 teaspoon Himalayan pink sea salt 1 tablespoon cinnamon **INSTRUCTIONS** Mix all ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until the dates are pureed. If the mix is too thick for your liking drain it through a fine mesh strainer to remove the excess cream and any bits of dates that weren't pureed. Store the mixture in a glass jar with a tight fitting lid in the fridge. This mix keeps for 1 week. Keep in mind the creamer will naturally thicken in the fridge so stir or shake it before each use. **BENEFITS** **Coconut Milk and Cream:** This is loaded with nutrients! The main fat source comes from lauric acid, which is known to improve blood pressure, lower cholesterol, fight pathogen infection & yeast overgrowth. **Megjool Dates:** The sweetening agent in this mix! These are not only a wonderful source of healthy carbohydrates but they've been known to decrease cholesterol and boost bone health! **Collagen Peptides Powder:** This is the basic component of protein and is vital for tissue production. This means taking this powder helps promote healthy hair, skin, nails but also a healthy gut! I've been taking this daily for the past 4 weeks and I have noticed such a change in all of these areas!! While that is unmistakably true, not every seller has the budget for a full home staging. My husband and I were just those people! We have been flipping houses for the past 6 years and have created what we like to think of as an 'in-between" staging approach, we call it minimalist staging and IT WORKS! So, whether your home is a newly built beauty like this listing called, "The Danbury" or it's a flipper, if you are ready to sell here are some things you need to know BEFORE your professional listing photos are taken. ****Don't forget to up vote me by clicking the green arrow at the bottom****  **WHAT IS MINIMALIST STAGING??** Minimalist staging is just that, MINIMAL! It's less about furniture and more about feel. It's the minimal decorations, linens & lighting that accent your home. The things that set a mood without overshadowing the rooms. The basic decorations that most people can imagine in their home no matter their personal style. Think plants, vases, rugs, shower curtains, mirrors etc. *BEFORE*  *AFTER*  **STAGE THE HOUSE TO FIT YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD** A successful stager, whether minimalist or not will stage a house in a way that appeals to the tastes of their target buyer. While home-buyers come in all different shapes and sizes, they generally choose neighborhoods that they can see themselves in. So your neighborhood becomes your target market. Different areas even attract different age groups and different budgets. *BEFORE*  *AFTER*  So be up-to-date on current trends and be conscious that your décor price-point matches your listing. For example you wouldn't put a $1500 mirror on the mantle in a smaller $100k listing because your buyer most likely wouldn't be able to afford similar décor and they might think the house won't actually look as good without high-end pieces. I stage with a lot of whites, creams and grays. Then I add a splash of color throughout the entire house. It creates that warm home feeling without over-shadowing or taking away from the bones of the house. The other thing is does is absorbs negative attention. What does that mean? It means when the buyer walks into your room they will notice the décor and the cohesiveness of the house and will most likely miss the small nuances. It may sound trivial, but sometimes the small nuances are what cost you the sale. *BEFORE*  *AFTER*  **HELP YOUR LISTING STAND OUT** Your listing photos are usually what potential buyers see first. You want to wow them right off the bat! Get professional photos taken. Take it a step further and make sure your property is photographed AFTER its been staged! It's less about furniture and more about feel. It's the minimal decorations, linens & lighting that accent your home. The things that set a mood without overshadowing the rooms. Think plants, vases, rugs, shower curtains, mirrors etc. \n*BEFORE*\n\n*AFTER*\n\n\n**STAGE THE HOUSE TO FIT YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD** \nA successful stager, whether minimalist or not will stage a house in a way that appeals to the tastes of their target buyer. While home-buyers come in all different shapes and sizes, they generally choose neighborhoods that they can see themselves in. So your neighborhood becomes your target market. Different areas even attract different age groups and different budgets.\n*BEFORE*\n\n*AFTER*\n\nSo be up-to-date on current trends and be conscious that your décor price-point matches your listing. For example you wouldn't put a $1500 mirror on the mantle in a smaller $100k listing because your buyer most likely wouldn't be able to afford similar décor and they might think the house won't actually look as good without high-end pieces. It means when the buyer walks into your room they will notice the décor and the cohesiveness of the house and will most likely miss the small nuances. | body | I love the farmhouse design trends and all wall décor this trend has brought with it. While I'm a sucker for the wooden signs available in every home décor section of my favorite stores I also don't have the budget to fill my personal home and staging home with them. Therefore, it was time to get creative, I hit pinterest and found just about every DIY tutorial for wooden signs. I was less than thrilled with most of my results and apart from just writing my own wording I couldn't find a tutorial that was fast, easy and required relatively no skill. And then I found out about wax paper! After perfecting these steps I have quickly transformed almost every wall in my house and for almost no money at all!!  **WHAT YOU'LL NEED** wax paper scissors paint pen ink jet printer decal to print **STEP ONE** Grab your artwork, once you have it be sure to mirror the image so that it will print out backwards. (if you don't do that it will apply to your sign backwards) [SNAG MY DECAL HERE](https://drive.google.com/open?id=17kX7J1_eW73GcC0O_iYx4R8H6JEgKmyX)  **STEP TWO** Cut your wax paper down to regular printer paper size and feed into your ink jet printer. Be sure to do one page at a time as the wax paper can slip. *(also be sure to print off a few test sheets on regular paper to check the sizing and placement for your sign.)  **STEP THREE** Place ink side down onto your sign and hold it very secure (DO NOT let it move around or you'll get blurry lines). Once it's held in place, firmly rub over each letter with a paper towel or rag of some kind to help the ink transfer from the wax paper to the sign.  **STEP FOUR** Remove the wax paper and Voila! Now you can choose to leave it as is if you like that rustic, worn in look or you can use this as a guide to trace over with paint marker...which is exactly what I chose to do. (Keep in mind this board that I'm using has a finish on it which repelled the ink jet ink a little on a sanded or raw wood surface the ink jet ink will appear much darker!)    **STEP FIVE** Find the perfect spot in your house and hang that bad boy up! We have been flipping houses for the past 6 years and have created what we like to think of as an 'in-between" staging approach, we call it minimalist staging and IT WORKS! It's less about furniture and more about feel. It's the minimal decorations, linens & lighting that accent your home. The things that set a mood without overshadowing the rooms. The basic decorations that most people can imagine in their home no matter their personal style. Think plants, vases, rugs, shower curtains, mirrors etc. *BEFORE*  *AFTER*  **STAGE THE HOUSE TO FIT YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD** A successful stager, whether minimalist or not will stage a house in a way that appeals to the tastes of their target buyer. While home-buyers come in all different shapes and sizes, they generally choose neighborhoods that they can see themselves in. So your neighborhood becomes your target market. Different areas even attract different age groups and different budgets. *BEFORE*  *AFTER*  So be up-to-date on current trends and be conscious that your décor price-point matches your listing. | body |  We originally renovated this adorable little 3 bed 2 bath house to be a rental property. However, the house is nestled in the up and coming Brookside neighborhood in Tulsa and is the ideal location for Airbnb guests. So when we were approached with the idea we jumped on it! Jordan did all of the renovations himself and I love to stage, so when we realized that this property had to be fully staged to be listed as and Airbnb this project became very special and fun for us. With an older smaller house like this one, I love finding new and creative ways to keep the space organized and functional, which is why this living area is one of my favorite rooms in the Rockford Retreat! Read the step-by-step process of the [Rockford Retreat renovation](https://steemit.com/remodeling/@rachelladams/our-latest-remodel-turned-into-an-air-bnb-the-before-pictures-will-absolutely-shock-you) **BE CREATIVE** Design challenges present themselves no matter what house you are staging, but they are especially common in older homes like the Rockford. I was up for the challenge and have some pointers for others working with a tight space. The biggest design challenge we ran into was the living room/dining room area. This living area is unique because it's a very small space and there is not one full wall available for furniture. The Airbnb required us to provide lounge seating for 6 or more with a large TV and dining room seating for 6 or more while maintaining an open airy feeling. This is what we were working with: The front door is in the center of the largest wall, but not symmetrically centered. On either side of the door there are two large windows symmetrical to the door, but not to the length of the room. To the right of the front door there is about 4 feet between the front door opening and the brick fireplace and on the left of the front door there is about 7 feet available for seating. The trick is to get creative with your solutions. While I would have prefered the windows to be centered, I love large windows in a living room because they flood the space with natural light. In this space, the windows also make the space feel bigger. So we decided to bank on that illusion and go ahead andbreak up the already small living room into two sections.  Likewise we created a cozy relaxing seating area with the TV placed in an untraditional place as well as a small little sitting area in front of the ill placed fireplace. I love that it’s different, a little off center, and nostalgic. It’s perfect for this smaller house!  **SHOP SMART** Fully furnishing a house is not cheap, but it doesn't have break your bank either! We shopped clearance, Facebook Marketplace, garage sales, estate sales etc. Sure it's more work...but the end result is a home full of charm. This house has a very small dining nook just to the right of the kitchen and open to the living room. As I said previously, we were required to seat 6 but the more we measured and shopped the less I could find a suitable table big enough to seat 6 and small enough to fit the space. In the end I decided to utilize the breakfast nook extending to the living room with two bar stools (that's 2 down) and I got busy shopping vintage tables because they are notoriously smaller! Sure enough I found this little wooden table & chairs (for $90) the diameter of a card table but with two small folding leaves! It sits 4 comfortably and fits in the dining space perfectly!! Of course we couldn't use this as is, we painted it (using our favorite no need for sanding primer) and chose a complimentary two-toned paint.  **CHOOSE A COLOR SCHEME** A color scheme keeps the entire house fluid. Allowing matching colors to sweep through the house room by room with a cohesive theme without being too matchy-matchy and boring. We selected to go with various brown & wood furniture pieces (couches, tables, bed frames, night stands etc), White and gray linens, (window curtains, shower, bedding, towels), and selected varying shades of teal decorations ranging from blue hues to emerald hues. These color tones dipped in and out of the entire house giving what we feel is an overall satisfying effect.
