      "body": "<html>\n<p>Walmart bad for America?</p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Would you like to work for a corporation that overworks as well as underpays it’s employees all while employing a Gestapo-like secret police to ensure a union never forms? Wal-Mart is doing just that by all accounts according to employees, documentary creators and of course news organizations. I hope to pull back the curtain on this seemingly unethical conglomerate and inform you of their wrongdoings.</p>\n<p>\tInformation gathered by Karen Olsson provides direct insight into the mistreatment of Wal-Mart employees, “The pace is frenetic, even by the normally fast-paced standards of retailing; often, it seems, there simply aren't enough people around to get the job done” (Olsson 606). If you've ever shopped at Wal-Mart you know this is true especially when trying to find a check out lane with a mile long line. Wal-Mart apparently hires an eight of the United States population so “not everyone believes the pay and benefits are unattractive” (Mallaby 621) but where are all the employees at? Wal-Mart supporters will point out the fact that you don't have to wait in line anymore with the installation of the self-checkout center, but shoppers like my mother would argue using things like the self-checkout lane encourages Walmart to hire fewer cashiers. Wal-Mart Employee, Jennifer McLaughlin backs up my mother’s theory saying “they push you to the limit, They just want to see how much they can get away with without having to hire someone help someone else” ( Olsson 607). &nbsp;$16,800 a year, that’s what Jennifer makes and she’s consider high-paid. Jennifer expresses her disgruntlement with the wages by saying, “The way they pay you, you cannot make it by yourself without having a second job or someone to help you, unless you've been there for 20 years or you're manager” ( Olsson 607). Now some people might say its just a low-level job or it’s just a Walmart job what do you expect but considering that Wal-Mart employs an eight of the American population they should at least pay a living wage no not minimum wage. The employees should be able to live off their wages from Wal-Mart alone with no other aid, This would not only increase the quality of life for millions of Americans but the influx of money could stimulate the economy.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>\tWal-Mart’s Gestapo-like secret police have been all over news articles and the titles of documentary. According to Karen Olsson essay, “Wal-Mart repeatedly broke the law by interrogating workers, confiscating union literature, and firing union supporters. At the first sign of organizing in a store, Wal-Mart dispatches a team of union busters from its headquarters” (Olsson 609). This team of union busters is what I and the media are referring to as a Gestapo-like secret police. Some of the Gestapo-like practices they employ are, setting up surveillance cameras, interrogating employees who might be involved in organizing a union or employees in support of a union; as well as confiscating union literature. If you are familiar with the history of the Nazis in world war II you know they employed these tactics all through Europe to suppress a rebellion. Their anti-union regiment is not only unethical but is pretty much illegal according to the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938. Now does this sound like a company you'd like to work for? I didn't think so. So how do we fix this? The answer is simple Wal-Mart needs to fall in line with the law or be forced to no longer do business inside of the United States.</p>\n<p>\tWal-Mart’s unethical behavior continues on with the outsourcing of American factory jobs. They exchanged quality made American products for cheaply made Chinese products to not only lower the cost but to line their pockets with seemingly ill-gotten gains. Now those in support of Wal-Mart might say that Wal-Mart can’t control the outsourcing of jobs it’s the companies who sell products to Wal-Mart who control job outsourcing. Now that may be the case but if you wish to sell products to Wal-Mart you must meet their demands for the margins and thus through proxy Wal-Mart has a heavy hand in outsourcing jobs to China. The large corporation could lessen their margins and allow the producers of goods the chance to manufacture in America. But the fact that they do not aids in the point that some make, that Wal-Mart is a greedy corporation just trying to line their pockets.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>\tHealthcare is something that every human not only deserves but most likely needs. Now there are some false accounts against Wal-Mart saying that they won’t provide healthcare to its 2.1 million employees. This is not the case; Wal-Mart offers a healthcare plan: “Health insurance on Walmart plan would deduct up to $85 from her biweekly paycheck of $550, so she goes without” (Olsson 607). So Wal-Mart does offer some sort of healthcare plan but they don't offer it as part of benefits or for free they deduct it from the employee’s paychecks. “Walmart is plotting to contain health cost! But isn't that what every company does in the face of medical inflation?” (Mallaby 620). Yes, this is what most profit-driven companies do but considering that Wal-Mart is a multi-national company that is making billions of dollars, they should provide some sort of free healthcare package for their employees who make it all possible. If Wal-Mart did this they could change the outlook of their name as an employer. They could be the first company to offer a totally inclusive healthcare package that not even the United States offers!</p>\n<p>\tNow that you know the facts and truth about Wal-Mart, I hope you can see it for what it is, another large corporation whose main focus isn't to improve the lively hood of Americans but is to make the most profit possible no matter the problem of ethics. Wal-Marts mistreatment of their employees as well as underpayment; and their heavy hand in the outsourcing of factory jobs proves my point that Wal-Mart is bad for America.</p>\n<p>\t</p>\n</html>",

The english king stated “we’ll introduce Prima Nocta, if we can’t get the Scots to leave well breed them out”. William Wallace secretly marries to avoid the english noble from having his wife. Wallace’s wife is almost raped by an english soldier but she fights back and Wallace comes to her rescue. He sends her away to safety on his horse, Wallace believes she is on her way to safety and flees to meet up with her. However she was knocked of her horse and murdered for assaulting the english soldiers. Wallace to find his beloved wife murdered he fakes a surrender and goes on a blood lust rampage slaughtering the english soldiers with help of the fellow villagers. This small battle springs the uprising between the Scots and the English. Other Scottish villages join Williams as he marches on a war path for the english outpost that houses the noble. The Scots kill the noble and they burn the outpost but spare the rest of the soldiers to send the message that Scotland is free! The English king sends reinforcements to Scotland, the english amass an army and it faces off against the Scottish army. William Wallace rejects an attempts at peace with the english. He rallies the armies moral despite them being out numbered, with his iconic speech “They take our lives but they will never take our freedom”. Wallace and the Scots lifted there kilt flashing the english as another fuck you to England. The english ordered a volley of arrows that rain down and pierce the Scots but unable to damage their moral, the Scots then lift their kilts and moon the english. The english order a second volley of arrows and after this Wallace orders the Scots that are on horses to what the english think is retreat but is actually Wallace’s plan to flank the english. The english order their calvary to attack unaware the Scots have made wooden spears twice as long as a man. These spears enabled the Scots to kill the english cavalry, now with the playing field level the Scots charge in slaughtering them until they are forced to order a retreat. With this victory William Wallace is knighted and declared as high protector of England. After his knighting Wallace declares he’s going to invade England and finish them on their own soil. Wallace leads his army to attack a city in northern England where the kings nephew is, they successfully kick in the cities gates. Then Wallace and his army annihilated the entire northern army of England and send the king his nephews head. Wallace is warned that Scotland is being invaded by England and its allies by the princess. He and his army rides home to Scotland, the Scottish army once again led by William Wallace faces of against not only England but its allies. The Scottish and Irish join forces and slaughter the english and their allies, Wallace signals for the nobles and cavalry to ride in but the english king bought them out. He is betrayed and badly wounded but survives due to an english soldier he sparred. Wallace agrees to fight along side the Scottish nobles again to defeat the english but its a trap and he is captured and beaten. Wallace is sentenced to a slow death he is hung taken down and told to beg for mercy he refuses. He then is racked and stretched by a horse, again he is told to beg for mercy once again Wallace refuses. Wallace is finally tied to a cross and severally cut several times and told to beg for mercy once again but all he cries out is Freedom! After he cries this out he is beheaded and his body cut into pieces. Wallace death caused Robert the once noble but now king of Scotland to led the Scottish army against the english in revenge of his friend sir William Wallace.</p>\n<p>\tBraveheart is actually insanely inaccurate, England never controlled Scotland for centuries like William Wallace stated in the film. William Wallace wasn't actually a poor humble farmer like in the movie, He was the son of noble man Alan Wallace and he would of never done farm work or labor of that type but he would have had military training and experience which explains why he was able to efficiently lead the Scottish uprising. Princess Isabella was actually nine years old at the time of Wallace's death and never left France during that time, so this makes it impossible for her to play the major roles she did in the film in real life. England never issued Prima Nocta and there is no evidence it was ever used it is most likely a middle age myth like the chastity belt. which is weird to hear because the Scottish uprising in the film starts based off of Prima Nocta and english soldiers trying to have their way with the Scots wives. The attack on the garrison that William Wallace led wasn't actually because his wife was murdered, Wallace never had a wife, so the reason he attacked the english is a mystery. Some believe it was over a land dispute between Wallace’s family and the english. The battle of sterling was one of the most in accurate in the film, to start the Scottish didn't really paint there faces with blue face paint. The Scottish would never be able to beat the heavily armored and well armed english in a head to head battle when they had little to no armor and not even real weapons some guys just had farm tools or worse sharpened sticks in the film. Instead the real story is actually called the battle of Sterling Bridge even tho no bridge was shown in the movie, the Scots didn't fight the english head to head instead they used their heads and forced the english to cross an narrow wooden bridge where they'd have to walk two by two when they started to cross the bridge the Scots ambushed them from the neighboring woods and slaughtered the english on the tight bridge despite there weaponry, some english men tried to swim away but their armor caused most of them to drown. William Wallace also never attacked the northern city of York it was over a 100 miles away from Scotland. He would have had no steady line of supplies nor would he have the siege equipment need to invade the city, Instead he burned and pillaged english cities to the south of Scotlands borders. Durning the major battle against England and its allies there is no proof that the Irish switched sides and joined the Scottish to fight England this was pure Hollywood. The entire film Braveheart was actually based off a poem written about William Wallace 165 years after his death. the poem was never meant to be a historical depiction of William Wallace but a propaganda piece to prevent the Scottish king James the third from making peace with England. The only thing that wasn't entirely inaccurate or over exaggerated was William Wallace’s execution, it was actually very much underplayed. First William Wallace was drug naked through the street then he was hung almost to the point of death, after that they sliced of his genitals and cut into his stomach and pulled out his entrails. Finally after that he was beheaded and his legs and arms chopped off. It was first synthesized by Anton Kollisch and as with many other drugs; its discovery was a complete accident. The patent for MDMA was used and researched on and off during the coming years, both for medical and non-medical purposes. It wasn’t until 1976 that it was counted among recreational drugs, after research conducted by a chemist Alexander Shulgin, who was later promptly known as the “Father of MDMA.” The use of MDMA has first spread among drugs used by psychotherapists and was well known for its empathogenic properties, which was also the reason that it started raising its popularity amongst the recreational drugs. The late 80’s were the breaking point for the use of MDMA drugs compared to other recreational drugs. It was at this point that British community started creating parties that were made to enhance the effects of MDMA drugs, featuring strong light and sound stimulants together with a kind of music, specially made for such occasions. In today’s culture drugs and mainly MDMA is tightly connected to raves and EDM festivals and as some researchers suggest as much as 70% of festival goers are known to take MDMA drugs or some other stimulants. The reason to why MDMA drugs are so popular can be traced to its effects and use. MDMA’s main effect is that it causes increased happiness or euphoria coupled with stronger sensual perception. All of these effects are reported to increase the appreciation of music and user’s surroundings. Of the more common physical side-effects are dehydration and jaw-clenching, in which drinking plenty of water and chewing gum is often used as a counter-measure. The long term side-effects differentiate in duration and strength in each user, but in most cases an increased effect of MDMA drugs is reported after a long-time use. There is also the possibility of increased feeling of fatigue the day after MDMA drugs use, which can last even longer in cases of regular intake or mixing with other drugs. The problem that is faced with MDMA drugs intake is the inability to determine its purity without a testing kit and even when using a kit, one cannot be 100% sure if the substance has been mixed with other drugs. This is the cause of many overdoses and poisonings from “street” MDMA, since mixed MDMA has a different strength form the pure one. MDMA drugs are generally considered to be one of the most used recreational drugs and since its first use as such it has had either a steady growth or stagnation in overall popularity. This can be contributed to the shift towards electronic music in the later years, which is tightly connected to MDMA and its culture.
