| body | #Hypnosis Hypnosis is something most people see as being some kind of new-age mumbo jumbo, but it’s actually been scientifically proven to be effective in many people. You don’t even have to spend money to hire a professional hypnotherapist. You can use self-hypnosis in the comfort of your own home, using simple methods. According to Wikipedia, hypnosis is “a mental state or imaginative role enactment”. It can be induced by a professional, or self-administered through self-suggestion. There are two major types of hypnosis. Stage hypnosis is the kind you see at magic shows. For therapeutic purposes, it is known as hypnotherapy, and it is intended for useful purposes rather than entertainment. A popular misconception about hypnosis is that it’s a form of unconsciousness that is similar to sleep. Research has shown that hypnotized individuals are fully awake, but are simply focusing attention on something specific. They have an increased response to suggestions, which is why hypnosis can cause people to do certain things when asked. Some hypnotists believe that they are communicating with an individual’ssubconscious mind, and other believe they are communicating primarily with the conscious mind. No one knows for sure which is the case. However, we have learned that most individuals cannot be forced to do something they would not normally wish to do on some level. For example, you could not force someone who hates beets to suddenly like them, but you could get someone who wants to stop smoking to do so. This is why hypnosis is such a powerful tool for making changes in your life. Using hypnosis, you can make suggestions to yourself that help you finally achieve something you have so far been unable to achieve. Since hypnosis works with the conscious mind, it can help one accomplish things they truly want to do. If you want to want to lose weight, hypnosis can help convince your mind to stick to it. If you want to quit smoking, it can convince your mind that smoking is bad. If you want to stop biting your fingernails, hypnosis can help your mind prevent you from doing it. Traditional hypnotherapy sessions can be prohibitively expensive. They aren’t often covered by insurance, so a lot of people can’t afford them. This is one reason for the rising popularity of self-hypnosis. Using self-hypnosis techniques, you can put yourself into a hypnotic state, then make suggestions to yourself. Start by finding a comfortable sitting position. You can sit on the floor, on your bed, on a chair or couch, or wherever you feel most comfortable.\n\n2. Light a candle, and place it in front of you on a stable surface. Watch the flame of the candle. Pay attention to its dancing and flickering. Concentrate on it carefully.\n\n3. Breathe in through your nose, and slowly out through a slightly opened mouth. Repeat your slow, careful breathing as you concentrate on the flame.\n\n4. Concentrate on the rise and fall of your abdomen. As you breathe in, notice your abdomen rise slowly. As you exhale, pay attention to your stomach falling.\n\n5. Now notice the air as you breathe. As you inhale, pay attention to the coolness of the air. Notice the warmth of your breath as you exhale.\n\n6. Pay attention once again to the beautiful flickering of the candlelight. Concentrate on it. Allow your eyelids to relax.\n\n7. By now, you should be getting sleepy. As you watch the flame, your eyes will begin to feel heavier, and they will slowly start to close.\n\n8. As you breathe in and out and watch the candle, allow your eyes to close. You’re feeling very tired.\n\n9. The more relaxed you become, the deeper you will breathe. You will start to feel the warmth of the candle as you relax.\n\n10. Now the warmth will be noticeable on your face. You will feel the warmth spread from your eyes to your cheeks and all around your face.\n\n11. As you close your eyes, you can still see the beautiful light of the candle dancing before you. You can feel its warmth more than ever.\n\n12. The warmth spreads from your face down your neck and through the rest of your body. Feel it relax your body as it moves over you.\n\n13. The warmth will eventually spread down to your fingertips, your stomach, your waist, and your hips.\n\n14. Next, you will feel it relaxing your back, your legs, and your feet.\n\n15. Breathe deeper and notice that your entire body feels relaxed.\n\nEvery muscle in your body is in a relaxed state, and you feel peaceful and calm.\n\n16. You are now completely relaxed. Tell yourself that when you are ready to come out of your state of hypnosis, you need only open your eyes, and you will be awake and feeling more refreshed than \nyou ever have been.\n\n17. Now you can begin suggestions.\n\nSuggestions are difficult to deliver to yourself while you are hypnotized, so you may wish to either have someone make suggestions for you, or you can record yourself making suggestions and play it to yourself while you are hypnotized.\n\nSuggestions are like instructions you want to give to yourself. You simply need to tell yourself what you would like to do.\n\nHere is an example of some suggestions for weight loss:\n\n You are a thin, beautiful woman. \n You do not need to overeat to feel better. \n Eating too much makes you sick. \n Food is meant for keeping you alive, not for pleasure. \n You do not want to overeat. \n You will eat only enough to get full, then you will stop eating. \n You do not have to clean your plate. \n Being healthy and attractive is more important than eating junk.\n\nYou can record yourself repeating these things over and over, and play it while you are in your hypnotic trance. Or you can write them down and have someone else say them to you. It’s up to you to decide which \nmethod might work best for you. You could even try both ways to see which way is more effective.\n\n\nHave you heard of affirmations? Affirmations are statements people make to themselves that help them in a positive way. You may have seen Annette Bening’s character use affirmations on the movie American \nBeauty. She repeated over and over, “I will sell this house today!”\n\nWhen you make affirmations, you’re using a kind of self-hypnosis. By telling yourself the same thing over and over, you’re getting your mind to agree to doing what you want.\n\nSome common affirmations include:\n\n I am smart and capable. I can do anything! \n I will not be afraid during this job interview! \n I will not let my boss talk me into taking on more work! \n I do not need another piece of chocolate cake!\n\nAffirmations can be done while you are not in a state of hypnosis, however hypnosis can amplify the effect. Eventually, after you hypnotize yourself often, you will be able to trigger a light state of hypnosis without \ngoing through all of the standard stuff. You could do it in a bathroom at work or while riding on the bus.\n\nThis is common in people who meditate or self-hypnotize often. Their brain becomes accustomed to the state, and they can slip in and out of it at will.\n\nFor this reason, it is important to practice self-hypnosis often. That way, you can instantly make your affirmations at any time in any location. You could use affirmations with self-hypnosis on the subway on your way to a job interview, or in the bathroom before a big sales presentation. You could slip away to the restroom at a restaurant to remind yourself not to overeat, or not to have a cigarette after dinner.\n\nThere are so many applications for affirmations, that once you learn to self-hypnotize, you will be able to use them whenever you need them. So be sure to practice often!\n\nIt’s a good idea to practice every day to get yourself into the habit. Just 15 minutes a day and very soon you could be accomplishing more than you ever thought possible!",

In order not to upset the father, I went along with it. After a few days we were allowed out of the hospital. At home the stall nurse was there too. father thought that I just had to do everything myself and everything that went with it. The stall nurse saw that it was not good after a few days father wanted me to do the laundry myself and the food and cleaning! it went absolutely wrong with me the stall nurse insisted that I go to the doctor, my blood pressure was far too low and I had iron deficiency due to anemia. I then bet again in the hospital and the baby had to come with me because father had also said a few times that he wanted to take away the baby and wanted to raise him with another woman. Amber was in the meantime with my mother because I was afraid something would happen to her because her father has been saying to her for years that it was not his daughter and he always yelled at her. In the meantime I had arranged things with my mother to be able to flee with the children. when I was home again, father told me he had arranged another passport for the baby to get out of the country without me and that I would lose my baby forever. I was so powerless. he threatened me with a gun himself! weeks went by and every time my father was not home I put some clothes from me and the children in a suitcase under the bed. father wanted to go to a holiday park called duinrell my sister went with the baby was now 6 months old father took it and drank well we were being boling and then went back to the caravan where amber immediately fell asleep the baby also slept ... at some point, amber screamed awake and panicked father became so mad at her that he jumped on top of her to squeeze her throat, then I got rid of it with all my powers and then hit him me up !! my sister had to take it from me. After a miserable weekend we were back home and went to the doctor with an excuse I had amber examined and I told the doctor what had happened. the doctor has filed a report for child abuse and I had to take care of the doctor as soon as possible in a women's shelter together with the children. a few days later I had informed my mother and I could have arranged a place in a shelter for me and the children. I had taken some father's savings from the safe to leave I had called a taxi and packed our belongings and went to the train station with the children I had to wait another 15 minutes before the train arrived but then I saw the car from the grandfather of the children and he had seen me at the station pfff he came to me and he took away from me he phoned the father that I would take the train .... father had arrived at the station but the train I was going to catch was also arrived and the grandfather had my son still fixed I then boarded amber with amber and I have run to call that my child was taken from me the conductor when the police called ... Grandpa walked on the paron around with my son and called as the train road I throw the child in front of the train at one point run the father and grandfather away with my son one minute later the police arrived and I had to go to the office I have there done my story, I have told them everything! the police then went looking for the father and the grandfather, Later that night, I was happy to have my son back, they found him with an aunt of the father. luckily we were now with the police who then accompanied me to a night shelter where I could sleep with all the children. the next day I was transferred to the women's shelter under supervision. it could only get better now father and grandfather were stuck in prison. to be continued |

| body | The Hidden Truth About Cardio How your daily gut busting routine may actually be preventing weight loss and pushing you closer to death In western cultures like ours, countries like the U.S., UK, Australia, Canada and other European nations, what’s the first thing that anybody thinks of or tells you whenever the idea of weight loss is brought up? You’ve got to hit the treadmill, exercise bike or the streets and burn those calories! On the surface of it, this makes sense, right? After all, you’re doing a lot of work and you’re sweating and breathing heavy. Surely running a few miles every day must be dissolving those unsightly LB’s like crazy, right? Would you be surprised to hear that this is actually wrong? No, I’m not crazy – let me lay it out for you… Yes, cardio does burn calories, it’s true. And yes, some cardio is good for you. Light cardio promotes a healthy heart and increases your endurance. On the other hand, though… heavy cardio actually begins to have the opposite effects. Before I get into why, let me give you a simple but common sense example. Imagine pre-historic Man. These men and women are running around the Paleolithic world chasing down antelope, red deer, aurox, bison and the occasional wooly mammoth. Most of their diet comes from animal protein and what edible plants they can scrounge. Well, if cardio was so great for losing weight, these people would simply starve to death while running down their food. All that cardio would burn through their energy reserves faster than they could replace them. Yet they didn’t starve to death… why? For one thing, a lot of heavy cardio is hard on your knees and feet. Second, it’s also hard on the heart. Too much cardio actually begins to add scar tissue to your heart and increases your rate of heart attack. We didn’t realize that for a while until many scientific studies were done on the subject. As for losing weight, excessive cardio actually has the reverse effect and here’s why. Our bodies are genetically designed to survive. Our body’s job is to store energy as fuel both for its immediate use and in the form of fat for those times when food is scarce. In modern times, of course, food isn’t really scarce, so this built in safety feature is rarely needed. However, when you deprive your body of the nutrients it requires, either by starving yourself on some crazy diet or by over-taxing your body with lots of cardio, it begins to switch into survival mode. Additionally, and unfortunately with heavy cardio, your body also becomes anabolic. This means that it begins to burn the most effective source of energy first – and that’s not fat… it’s your muscle. Take a good look at some of these chronic long distance runners who compete. Many of them are kind of stringy looking and have to pack in the carbs just to maintain their muscle mass. You want your body to burn fat, not muscle, obviously. It’s not really about calories, as many diets and so-called fitness gurus try to make you believe. Calories are only a means of measuring food energy. Yes, if you want to lose weight, you must take in less calories than you consume, yet there’s so much more to it than that.  The biggest secret to weight loss isn’t running 10 miles every day, starving yourself or even avoiding some of your favorite carbs, believe it or not. In fact, if you’re going to lose weight properly, it’s actually important that you do eat some of your favorite foods! Imagine pre-historic Man.\nThese men and women are running around the Paleolithic world chasing down antelope, red deer,\naurox, bison and the occasional wooly mammoth. Most of their diet comes from animal protein and\nwhat edible plants they can scrounge.\nWell, if cardio was so great for losing weight, these people would simply starve to death while running\ndown their food. All that cardio would burn through their energy reserves faster than they could\nreplace them. Yet they didn’t starve to death… why?\nFor one thing, a lot of heavy cardio is hard on your knees and feet. Second, it’s also hard on the heart.\nToo much cardio actually begins to add scar tissue to your heart and increases your rate of heart attack.\nWe didn’t realize that for a while until many scientific studies were done on the subject.\nAs for losing weight, excessive cardio actually has the reverse effect and here’s why. | body | Thai Green Curry Today we eat delicious Thai green curry with chicken and snow peas. Green curry is made with green curry paste. The main ingredient of green curry paste is cilantro root or cilantro stems (not the leaves) and fresh green chilies, hence the name green curry. While you can always make Thai curry paste from scratch, I am all about buying instant curry paste from Asian stores.  Ingredients 6 people - 4 chicken fillets (+/- 1 kilo) chicken fillet is also tasty - 400 grams of green beans - 150 grams of sugarsnaps (or snow peas) - ½ bunch of spring onion - 1 bunch of coriander - 1 red pepper - 2 cloves of garlic - 1 lime - 2 cans of coconut milk - 3 teaspoons of Thai green curry - 4 lime leaves (Kaffir lime leaves) - 2 tablespoons of cane sugar - 2 tablespoon of fish sauce - 2 tbsp oyster sauce - peanut oil Because it is one of my favorite dishes, we eat it regularly and therefore there is sometimes some variation in it. This time I have green beans of the season, sugarsnaps (snow peas can also be fine) and spring onions used  Preparation method - Remove the beans and sugarsnaps, pour boiling water on it and let it stand for about 10 minutes. Then pour the water off and let it drain. - Heat some oil in a wok and first fry the garlic, and then fry the curry for a few minutes. - Add the coconut milk. and heat it until it starts to bubble. - Then add the chopped chicken fillet and cook it in the hot liquid. - Add the drained beans and sugarsnaps and so that it can be used for a while. - Add the spring onion, fish sauce, oyster sauce, cane sugar and lime leaves cut into rings and let it stand on the wick for 10 minutes. - Finally add the chopped pepper and coriander and serve immediately. - Serve with rice (or noodles) and a wedge of lime. |

There are also Panang curry, Jungle curry, Massamam curry, etc. One of my favorite Thai curries is green curry, spicy, aromatic, sweet and savory at the same time. Green curry is such a great delight, specially when served with steaming white rice.  Green curry is made with green curry paste. The main ingredient of green curry paste is cilantro root or cilantro stems (not the leaves) and fresh green chilies, hence the name green curry. While you can always make Thai curry paste from scratch, I am all about buying instant curry paste from Asian stores. You can make very good, authentic and absolutely delicious green curry using store-bought curry paste. The key is to balance the flavors of the curry—it has to be spicy, rich and creamy (from the coconut milk), savory (from the fish sauce) and sweet (from palm sugar or sugar). Sweet, sour, salty and spicy are the pillars of Thai recipes, and once you master the perfect balance, you can make just about any Thai food at home!  How Do You Make Thai Green Curry Homemade green curry recipe is so easy to make and takes about 15-20 minutes from prep to dinner table. First, saute the green curry paste and then add the chicken. Add the coconut milk, water, bamboo shoots, and all the seasoning ingredients. Cook until the chicken becomes tender and the green curry sauce is slightly thickened. So here is my chicken green curry. The traditional recipe calls for green apple eggplant or Thai eggplant, which is a variety of eggplant which is small and round in shape, used in Thai cooking. They are sometimes available at Asian stores but not often. I opted out and used canned bamboo shoots, which are widely used as a replacement in Thai restaurants in the US. | body | My life as a single mother with 4 children. When I was a child my parents broke up my brother tried to take over the father's role in the family, my mother got a new boyfriend and was only in the pub, my brother and my sister and I had to take care of ourselves . My brother beat me very often and I did not want to live like that anymore. I was 18. I learned through my father a boy who could possibly help me with a job and a house. I accidentally became pregnant with him I was not in love with him and he certainly was not my type either. I had told my mother about my pregnancy, she wanted to decorate a room for her first grandchild. The father of the baby absolutely did not want this. Later that day he came drunk, he threatened me with a baseball bat that he would beat the baby out of my stomach if the baby did not grow up with his parents where he still lived. The next day the father of the baby went to work. In the meantime I had informed my father about the situation. That same day I fled to a women's shelter where I sat for a month and eventually went back to live with my mother. I had a nice pregnancy with my mother and she was not often in the pub anymore. It was the intention to give birth in the hospital but unfortunately it was too late to go to the hospital. My daughter Amber (now 15) has been born healthy. I felt quite alone when I saw other people doing everything together as a family and wanted this for Amber as well. I called the father to tell him that he had a daughter. He wanted to come by to look at the baby. He wanted to continue as a family, he told me and he wanted to marry me. A few weeks later I lived with him again with his parents and he promised me that we had something for ourselves to live in very quickly. After a month we lived in a mobile home. The father of Amber still drank quite a lot and promised me to stop drinking, but this did not happen. I was not only allowed to do my shopping I was alone at home with Amber all days and when her father was home he just screamed to Amber that it was not his daughter. it even happened once that he wanted to give her the bottle, but Amber did not want to know anything about him. One night we went into my brother's city and his girlfriend and their baby were there too. the father of Amber was drinking a lot again we were in a games hall where you also had a pub I had already said a few times that I wanted to go home because it was late and he was already very drunk he got mad at me he thought I had fooled him at the bar. I walked away from him with Amber in the buggy. He then followed me and I thought he wanted to hit me but suddenly I saw a lot of blood through my pants he had stabbed me with a knife. I was so scared of him I had to keep my mouth shut and I had to blame another person I do not even know or even exist. I was not allowed to tell his parents what had happened. His mother died and he was so upset that he was going to drink more. I turned out to be pregnant with our second child. I was not allowed to go outside alone and I was not allowed to talk to anyone. The only thing I had to do was to make sure that the food was on the table when he and his father got out of work. One day the food was not ready when he came home he kicked me in my back with his work shoes with steel nose. I then had to go to the doctor because I spontaneously lost blood. Fortunately, everything was okay with the baby. I was about 5 to 6 months pregnant and then you can see on the ultrasound if it is a girl or a boy we got a boy !! to be continued....  |
