Today, a lot of couples have fallen short of effective communication, some started effectively and along the line things changed.\nAnd when proper communication is missing between a couple, loneliness and distrust begin to set in, and if not properly handed or sorted out in time, could lead to the downfall of that relationship.\n\nI've had a fair share of this matter, I once had a relationship, that started out really smoothly, and I felt she was my soulmate and my missing piece, we were inseparable and shared almost everything together including chats on our daily routine and much more, but as time went, after an argument, she began to give me silent treatment, and though I apologized for each time faulty or not, she later began to keep most things to herself, each time I tried to talk things through with her, it always ended in another quarrel or more argument, and she would complain I don't understand her, and though I tried my best and always tell her I can only understand her better if she communicates to me how she feels, but she never did, and before long we broke up.\n\nI even figured out this same kind of issue from another couple I know, then I came to a conclusion, that expecting your partner to be a mind reader in order to understand you better, will only make things worse, you need to properly communicate to your partner, so they know how best to work with you, as a saying goes \"Two cannot work together, or else they agree\".\n\nCommunication is the fuel that keeps a relationship burning, without it the relationship goes cold.",

Bearing in mind that two cannot work together except they agree.\n\nUNDERSTANDING :- This should be embedded with patience, and knowing no one is perfect but can only strive towards perfection\n\nFORGIVENESS :- As Humans, mistakes are inevitable, and as much as you want to be forgiven, you must learn to forgive, never bring back or make reference to past quarrels or argument, but move on and let go of the wrongs, also bearing in mind that if you did something wrong that your partner complained about and forgives you, try to be concious of that mistake and not let it repeat itself again.\n\nWILLINGNESS TO STAY :- This is also very necessary, for both partners as a couple, you must be willing to stay and work things out, no one said it would be easy, the determination to stay must come from both parties involved, and if for any slight/little mistake your partner makes, you begin to consider a break-up, then there's a problem.\n\n#### <center> Conclusion </center>\n\nThe above listed isn't quite the case in an abusive affair, but a successful relationship/marriage is possible, but requires lots of efforts from both individuals in order to make it happen.\n\nA true relationship is likened to as a tennis game, it can only be interesting if both parties are serving the ball from one side of the court to the other, imagine only a player in that game with a court for two, no matter how such player serves the ball to the other side of the court the ball never comes back.\n\nSo if you truly desire a good relationship, play your part right while your partner does same too.",
