İlk brode makineleri dakikada 28  ilmek atarken, günümüzde kullanılan brode makineleri dakikada 500 ilmek atmaktadır. Dünya üzerinde brode makinesi üreten iki firma vardır. Biri “Saurer” diğeri “Laesser”dir. Her iki firma da İsviçre’dedir. \n\nÜlkemizde Brodenin Yeri\n\nTürkiyede ise brode denildiğinde genellikle ev tekstili akla gelir. Global anlamda brode sektörü için Türkiye’nin rolü büyüktür. Üretilen ürünleri başta Rusya olmak üzere İran, Azerbeycan ve birçok Avrupa ülkesine ihraç etmektedir.
