| body | <div class="text-justify"> Hello esteem steemians. Here is my Achievement 5 Task 1 which is a review of one of the most useful tools found on the Steem Ecosystem. <br> I’m referring to [steemworld.org](https://steemworld.org).The [steemworld.org](https://steemworld.org) is very important as you can manage your steem account, analyze and manage your account from [steemworld.org](https://steemworld.org) account. There is a whole lot that you can do on your account from the steemworld.org platform. You can view your voting power, view your number of posts, the number of comments generated by your post, the number of replies on your account, your rewards, activities carried out on your account within a stipulated time frame just to name a few. Having said those few things about the steemword.org tool/platform let me dive into my Achievement 5 Task 1 properly. </div> ### HOW TO CHECK REWARD SUMMARY The first thing to do is to log on to the URL https://steemworld.org either from your phone, tab or PC browser. Once the site open find the Sign In button at the top right corner of the screen and click on it. A pop-up page appears with space for you to fill up your username and private posting key. Fill in your user name and private posting key and click on okay to sign in. Once signed in your username will appear at the top right corner of the page. Below that, you will see the Steem Blockchain Tools. In there are other options such as Dashboard, Witness Overview Block Explorer, Account watch, Authorized Apps, Account Creator, Change Password, etc. The next thing to do is click on Dashboard. This will give you access to your dashboard where you can visualize much information about your steemit account. The image below shows some information you will see about your profile after clicking on the dashboard. To check the rewards summary click on stat scroll down on the dashboard page. The Rewards Summary section contains your rewards for All Time, Last 30 Days and Last 7 Days. (NOTE: The stat option open by default when you newly open the dashboard option from the Steem Blockchain Tools page.) ### WHAT IS DELEGATION? Delegation means sharing your steem power (SP) to other users to enable them to comment, vote, and carry out other activities that require steem power. In other words, delegation means lending someone your steem power. #### TYPES OF DELEGATION On the steemit platform, there are two types of delegation. They are: • Incoming Delegation • Outgoing Delegation ##### Incoming Delegation This refers to steem power shared to you by another user on the steemit platform to enable you carry out activities like commenting, voting, posting and re-steeming. ##### Outgoing Delegation This refers to steem power that you shared with other steemit users to enable them carryout out activities like commenting, posting, voting, etc., on the steemit platform. ### HOW TO DELEGATE SP From the dashboard click on the delegations tab. Once the delegations panel opens you will see options like Incoming, Outgoing, Expiring and Delegate at the top of the Delegation panel. Click on delegate and a pop-up window will appear to fill in the required information and click okay. ### HOW TO CHECK INCOMING AND OUTGOING VOTES To check incoming and outgoing votes, click on the stats tab. Look down and you will see Vote Count and on the right-hand side are two options. Inc. (Incoming) Votes and Out. (Outgoing) Votes. Clicking on both tabs will open a window displaying your incoming and outgoing votes within the past 7 days. For my account, there are presently no incoming or outgoing votes which are due to my inactivity for a while now. ### HOW TO CHECK ACCOUNT OPERATIONS FOR THE PAST 7 DAYS You can do this from the steemword.org dashboard. Open the dashboard and scroll down. You will see the tab Account operations. From there you can see your account operations for the past 7 days. You can see the persons you followed, those you unfollowed, the post you share (re-steemed), the post you voted for, etc. Below is my account operations for today. ### EXPLAIN AUTHOR, CURATION AND BENEFICIARY REWARDS #### AUTHOR REWARDS Author rewards are any reward (earnings) given to an author of a blog post shared or comment made on the steemit platform. An author is anyone (user) that made a blog post or comment on the steemit platform. #### CURATION REWARDS Curation rewards refer to the reward you get from valuing and upvoting someone else’s blog post or comment on the steemit platform. #### BENEFICIARY REWARDS Beneficiary rewards are those rewards an author of a blog post shared with another user on the steemit platform. Just a sight of them in some people’s space (homes, offices, cars, etc.) can set alarm bell ringing. I’m not disputing the fact that they play important roles in nature. There are different species of roaches that are found on earth. They can be found in tropical forests, grassland, heathland, moorland, savanna and on different continents. </div> https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Fabio-Cianferoni/publication/260589113/figure/fig42/AS:614286875455524@1523468812632/Forest-cockroach-Blattodea-Van-Ban-Nature-Reserve-photo-S-Bambi.png <a href="https://www.researchgate.net/figure/Forest-cockroach-Blattodea-Van-Ban-Nature-Reserve-photo-S-Bambi_fig42_260589113" rel="noopener" title="This link will take you away from steemit.com">Image Source</a></p> <div class="text-justify"> Roaches can eat virtually anything that they can sink their teeth in. From decomposing plants, dead animals, leaves, fruits, human and animal faeces, shoes, books and our food just to name a few. Their feeding break down decomposing plant and animal matter, hence fast-tracking decomposing within the environment. Their faeces also enrich the soil with organic matter and nutrients which living plants utilize for their own good. Roaches are also a healthy snack for some birds and animals. This means that roaches also serve an important in the food chain. Just a sight of them in some people’s space (homes, offices, cars, etc.) can set alarm bell ringing. \nI’m not disputing the fact that they play important roles in nature. There are different species of roaches that are found on earth. From decomposing plants, dead animals, leaves, fruits, human and animal faeces, shoes, books and our food just to name a few. \nTheir feeding break down decomposing plant and animal matter, hence fast-tracking decomposing within the environment. Their faeces also enrich the soil with organic matter and nutrients which living plants utilize for their own good.\nRoaches are also a healthy snack for some birds and animals. | body | <div class="text-justify"> Hello everyone. I will like to write about a topic that interests me a lot for my Achievement 4 while applying some markdowns. The title of the topic plants. </div> # PLANTS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_F8kYkn49Ec <div class="text-justify"> From the video clip above you can see that plants are beautiful, extremely complex and diverse organisms. Isn’t it? There are thousands of different species of plants on earth. Some are aquatic while others are terrestrial. They all play important roles in the survival of most living organisms on earth. For example; plants are primary producers - serving as a food source for both humans and animals; provide shelter to terrestrial animals; provide raw materials for the various industries and help in reducing the impact of pollution and global warming in the environment. </div> ## What are plants? When you search the word PLANT on [Goodle,](https://www.google.com/search?q=plant&rlz=1C1CHBD_enNG893NG893&sxsrf=ALeKk00SNZHRMYTvMsm1RzvGVnFZwHvd2g%3A1628307594139&ei=igAOYZ3XB6KEjLsPgvu6-A0&oq=plant&gs_lcp=Cgdnd3Mtd2l6EAMyBAgjECcyBAgjECcyBAgjECcyDQgAEIAEEIcCELEDEBQyCggAEIAEEIcCEBQyCAgAEIAEELEDMggIABCABBCxAzIFCAAQgAQyBQgAEIAEMggIABCABBCxAzoHCAAQRxCwAzoHCAAQgAQQCkoECEEYAFDF0ZABWJ7qkAFgy-6QAWgBcAJ4AoABiw2IAborkgEPMi0zLjEuMS4wLjEuMS4xmAEAoAEByAEHwAEB&sclient=gws-wiz&ved=0ahUKEwidxO69_p3yAhUiAmMBHYK9Dt8Q4dUDCA0&uact=5) you will see definition like this; Plant is >“a living organism of the kind exemplified by trees, shrubs, herbs, grasses, ferns, and mosses, typically growing in a permanent site, absorbing water and inorganic substances through its roots, and synthesizing nutrients in its leaves by photosynthesis using the green pigment chlorophyll.” While [Biolologyonline,]( https://www.biologyonline.com/dictionary/plant) defined plant as > “Any of the eukaryotic organisms of the biological kingdom Plantae, characterized by being photosynthetic and having a rigid cell wall.” <div class="text-justify"> From both definitions, two things stand out. Plants are living organisms and photosynthetic. Since plants are living organisms, they require food to survive, and the primary means of getting the required food is through a process called photosynthesis. During photosynthesis, plants use tiny green pigments in their leaves called chlorophyll to trap energy contained in sunlight. Thereafter, they combine this sunlight energy with carbon dioxide and water to make their own food. Due to the presence of chlorophyll, most plants are green. However, these green plants can be classified into various groups based on their unique characteristics such as mode of feeding, morphology, uses, etc. One of the most common methods of classifying plants is based on their ability to produce seeds. Base on this attribute/characteristic, plants can be classified into two basic groups. And that is: </div> • Non-seed plant • Seed plants ### NON-SEED PLANT https://cdn.britannica.com/s:800x450,c:crop/30/73130-138-917E422E/Ferns-systems-tracheophytes-leaves-water.jpg <a href="https://www.britannica.com/plant/fern" rel="noopener" title="This link will take you away from steemit.com">Image Source</a></p> <div class="text-justify"> Non-seed plants are those plants that do not produce seeds. MONOCOTYLEDONOUS PLANT | DICOTYLEDONOUS PLANT --------- | ---------- Embryos contain single leaf | Embryos contain two leaves They have parallel leaf veins | They have branched and reticulated leaf veins. They do not have secondary growth.| They usually have secondary growth. They possess adventitious and fibrous roots.| They possess taproots. Their petals are trimerous. This means that their petals are arranged in multiples of three.| Their petals are tetramerous or pentamerous. This means that their petals are arranged in multiples of four or five. There you have it. That’s the little I have to write about plants. I hope you all like it? See you all next time and stay safe. |

| body | Good day, all. I hope you all are good at your various locations. There is a disease that is prevalent around the academic and intellectual world. This disease does not necessarily affect the human physical body but the product that comes from its intellect, and that is human intellectual property. This disease is plagiarism. <a href="https://teachmag.com/archives/9806" rel="noopener" title="This link will take you away from steemit.com">Image Source</a></p> So the big question is; WHAT IS PLAGIARISM? <a href="https://informativgyan.blogspot.com/2020/08/plagiarism-checker-2020.html" rel="noopener" title="This link will take you away from steemit.com">Image Source</a></p> According to <a href="https://www.ox.ac.uk/students/academic/guidance/skills/plagiarism"> University of Oxford </a> >”Plagiarism is presenting someone else’s work or ideas as your own, with or without their consent, by incorporating it into your work without full acknowledgement”." <a href=" https://www.ox.ac.uk/students/academic/guidance/skills/plagiarism " rel="noopener" title="This link will take you away from steemit.com">Source</a></p> From the above definition, plagiarism is stealing. It involves stealing someone’s intellectual properties without giving due credit. These intellectual properties cover works of human intellect such as inventions, designs, writings and artistic works, symbols (logos), images, etc. Plagiarism has eaten deep into human society and is more common in the academic and research world where students and other researchers steal or plagiarize the work of others and make it look like theirs. It is also prevalent in the entertainment and media industries where someone’s words, images, videos, sound (music), etc are incorporated into others work without acknowledging the source. TYPES OF PLAGIARISM There are different types of plagiarism. However, in this writing, I will look at just a few of them. They are: 1. Self Plagiarism 2. Mosaic Plagiarism 3. Verbatim/Direct Plagiarism SELF PLAGIARISM Self-plagiarism is the act of reusing your previous work without notifying the reader or citing the original work. Simply put self-plagiarism means recycling your previous work. It involves quoting previous work word for word, paraphrasing or re-submitting the entire work altogether. MOSAIC PLAGIARISM Mosaic plagiarism is the act of taking materials (words, phrases or sentences) from different sources without using quotation marks or citing the source of the material. Students are mostly guilty of this type of plagiarism. Sometimes, they change words in the original text, replacing them with synonyms while leaving sentence structures. VERBATIM/DIRECT PLAGIARISM Verbatim/Direct plagiarism is a type of plagiarism in which an individual copies the work of others word-for-word (verbatim) without citation or using quotation marks. <a href="https://jesscastellote.wordpress.com/2017/02/25/plagiarism/" rel="noopener" title="This link will take you away from steemit.com">Image Source</a></p> So with all these, all humans must strive to stop plagiarism. This is because it negatively affects the credibility of work and strips researchers and content owners of the recognition they deserve. That will be all for now and hope you find this post interesting. Thanks for reading. <a href="https://www.seekpng.com/ipng/u2t4r5o0o0w7y3y3_emoji-world-bye-smiley/" rel="noopener" title="This link will take you away from steemit.com">Image Source</a></p> |

| body | Good day, all.
