      "body": "For a quick weekend getaway Kelly and I went to a lovely resort in Southern California called Cape Ray (which is actually under Hilton as one of their resorts).\n\n<img class=\"wp-image-1270 size-large\" src=\"http://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/RCwlK3vaRuTYXETpQcoOQ-e1519097445516-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"495\" /> Lobby foyer\n\n<img class=\"wp-image-1269 size-large\" src=\"http://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/O90FRYrtS82wQATFRhlEbg-e1519271099833-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"495\" /> 2 check-in desks\n\nCheck-in: Awesome in that we bypassed the check in counter!  I had checked in and even selected my room all online via Hilton's app. Selecting the room was amazing as I knew exactly what I was getting when I checked in. I knew the view I was getting, where the elevator was, what floor I was going to be on, and even where the ice was.  No trying to negotiate a preferred room at check in.\n\nElite Benefits: As a diamond member,  I'm entitled to an upgraded room upon check in.  However, this being a 3-day weekend the hotel was almost fully booked so I had to go with the room I originally booked.  There was no problem as it's always subject to availability. Another great elite benefit was a discounted breakfast for two people. When you check in or if you swing by the front desk, you'll get 2 vouchers per duration of your stay that give you either a free basic continental breakfast or $10 (per person) for the buffet or any other breakfast item.  This was a real advantage considering the buffet is only $21 (per person).\n\nRoom: The room had 2 queen beds with a beautiful ocean view.  In fact,  one of the best views of the ocean I think I've ever had.\n\n<img class=\"wp-image-1254 size-large\" src=\"http://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Nakd8xHWSH2bK9Lr3OyAvw-e1519081637853-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"495\" /> Amazing view from the room's balcony\n\n<img class=\"wp-image-1278 size-large\" src=\"http://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/IMG_1324-1024x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"660\" /> Another shot of view... yeah that made the room and the whole trip for that matter\n\n<img class=\"wp-image-1287 size-large\" src=\"http://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/IMG_1286-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"495\" /> Beautiful picture of the room with the sun beaming in :)\n\nThe room also had a nice bathroom with a microwave and small refrigerator.\n\n<img class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1260\" src=\"http://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/fB4cpC5PRyCUlsmZwNGWA-e1519080940851-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" />\n\n<img class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1286\" src=\"http://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/IMG_1290-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\"/>\n\n<img class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1285\" src=\"http://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/IMG_1289-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" />\n\n<img class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1259\" src=\"http://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/GKoHTUx9SamSes4dKR1g-e1519080952186-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" />\n\nThe balconies aren't very private, however, and I always prefer hotels to try and have some separation between the balconies.   As you can see, there isn't much space.\n\n<img class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-1263\" src=\"http://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/xMkFTXGQYSFbZSeDJUtwQ-e1519097848299-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"880\" />\n\n<img class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-1257\" src=\"http://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Xf6ftJWDRyeH3NlqAbWnlg-e1519084023724-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"495\" />\n\nPool: Very nice and plenty of room even though it was a busy 3-day weekend, the pool had a jacuzzi and a very small kiddie pool.\n\n<img class=\"wp-image-1276 size-large\" src=\"http://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/54059291588__3426C69C-B251-4659-8C4F-A43438F05791-e1519189177108-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"495\" /> Beautiful pristine view at the pool :)\n\n<img class=\"wp-image-1267 size-large\" src=\"http://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/HRq2SOwsTCu5JMVLhkQ1Q-e1519098284401-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"495\" /> Nice cabanas that you can also rent at the pool\n\nRestaurant:\n\nThe hotel had one restaurant, Chandlers. Chandlers serves all meals, breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  We did enjoy breakfast and dinner there. The buffet was great along with the service and price. I've seen buffets at over $40/person.  This one was only $21; and if you're a gold or diamond member, you receive an additional $10 off... great deal. Dinner was also very nice with a fabulous ocean view\n\n<img class=\"size-large wp-image-1277\" src=\"http://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/AJJzyFaESkGdMCsjR12IA-1-e1519189491451-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"495\" /> Amazing view of sunset from the hotel restaurant, Chandlers\n\nBeach:\n\nThe beach was not exactly what we were expecting.  It was more of a pebble beach with the regular sand beach about a quarter mile down the street. Still very nice and not at all a bad place to grab some chairs and an umbrella and relax a bit... probably not the best for laying out on a towel..\n\n<img class=\"wp-image-1279 size-large\" src=\"http://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/iRTD1lyjQz2zsCB9szZOkw-1-e1519189758729-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"495\" /> Pebble beach... still beautiful\n\nOverall a great trip for a little quick weekend getaway.       "body": "After months of planning, my sister and her fiancé are getting married in lovely Saint Michael’s, Maryland.\n\nWe flew Economy Plus through Alaska from San Diego and arrived in BWI at 6 in the morning. We rented a Tesla Model X from TURO and the owner came to the airport on time to pick us up. He have us a 30 minute brief of how to use the features in the car before giving us the keys. Though it was a bit pricey, it was definitely worth it as the drive from BWI to Saint Michaels was the least stressful trip I’ve had. The adaptive cruise control and auto pilot function worked so flawlessly on the highway that gas break traffic was not an issue.\n\nhttps://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/fullsizeoutput_1bf5-1024x768.jpeg\n\nDue to the possible chaos at my parent’s house, Kelly and I stayed at the Inn at Perry Cabin for two nights.  The movie Wedding Crashers was filmed at this location, making this Belmond estate one of St. Michaels’ attraction.\n\nhttps://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/K5f5WZz-Imgur-1024x543.jpg\n\nWe were not able to get an early check in due to the entire property being fully booked. The earliest check in we were able to get was 2pm and did not work for our 3pm rehearsal. We checked in at 9pm after the rehearsal dinner, then used our $35 daily credit for two at the hotel bar, Pursers Pub.\n\n<img class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1218\" src=\"http://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/fullsizeoutput_1d6d-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"495\" />\n\n<img class=\"wp-image-1225 size-large\" src=\"http://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/fullsizeoutput_1d79-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"495\" /> Fire pit at the side of the hotel\n\nThe hotel was quaint, preppy and elegant. The property seemed rather old.\n\nhttps://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/fullsizeoutput_1d7b-1024x768.jpeg\n\nUpon entering our room, immediately we noticed that we could easily hear our neighbors talking and closet doors slamming. The wooden post at the foot of the bed was coming apart. The AC was not working and there was a loud circuit shorting sound going off continuously. No mini bar or snacks.\n\n<img class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1220\" src=\"http://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/fullsizeoutput_1d6f-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"495\" />\n\n<img class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1221\" src=\"http://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/fullsizeoutput_1d77-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"495\" />\n\nThe bathroom had the basic toiletries and a standard bath tub. However, there was no shower curtain. Instead, there was a mini glass door on the side of the tub, allowing water to spray all over the floor while showering. We laid down all the towels because after a 10 min shower, the floor was soaked.\n\n<img class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1219\" src=\"http://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/fullsizeoutput_1d6b-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"495\" />\n\n<img class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1217\" src=\"http://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/fullsizeoutput_1d71-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"495\" />\n\nThe windows had shutters that you can open from the inside, but the design was questionable. The shutters would only partially open due to the curtains obstructing it, not allowing sunlight to enter. The room had a “Garden view” patio, but there wasn’t much view.       "body": "After months of planning, my sister and her fiancé are getting married in lovely Saint Michael’s, Maryland.\n\nWe flew Economy Plus through Alaska from San Diego and arrived in BWI at 6 in the morning. We rented a Tesla Model X from TURO and the owner came to the airport on time to pick us up. He have us a 30 minute brief of how to use the features in the car before giving us the keys. Though it was a bit pricey, it was definitely worth it as the drive from BWI to Saint Michaels was the least stressful trip I’ve had. The adaptive cruise control and auto pilot function worked so flawlessly on the highway that gas break traffic was not an issue.\n\nhttps://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/fullsizeoutput_1bf5-1024x768.jpeg\n\nDue to the possible chaos at my parent’s house, Kelly and I stayed at the Inn at Perry Cabin for two nights.  The movie Wedding Crashers was filmed at this location, making this Belmond estate one of St. Michaels’ attraction.\n\nhttps://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/K5f5WZz-Imgur-1024x543.jpg\n\nWe were not able to get an early check in due to the entire property being fully booked. The earliest check in we were able to get was 2pm and did not work for our 3pm rehearsal. We checked in at 9pm after the rehearsal dinner, then used our $35 daily credit for two at the hotel bar, Pursers Pub.\n\n<img class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1218\" src=\"http://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/fullsizeoutput_1d6d-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"495\" />\n\n<img class=\"wp-image-1225 size-large\" src=\"http://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/fullsizeoutput_1d79-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"495\" /> Fire pit at the side of the hotel\n\nThe hotel was quaint, preppy and elegant. The property seemed rather old.\n\nhttps://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/fullsizeoutput_1d7b-1024x768.jpeg\n\nUpon entering our room, immediately we noticed that we could easily hear our neighbors talking and closet doors slamming. The wooden post at the foot of the bed was coming apart. The AC was not working and there was a loud circuit shorting sound going off continuously. No mini bar or snacks.\n\n<img class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1220\" src=\"http://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/fullsizeoutput_1d6f-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"495\" />\n\n<img class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1221\" src=\"http://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/fullsizeoutput_1d77-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"495\" />\n\nThe bathroom had the basic toiletries and a standard bath tub. However, there was no shower curtain. Instead, there was a mini glass door on the side of the tub, allowing water to spray all over the floor while showering. We laid down all the towels because after a 10 min shower, the floor was soaked.\n\n<img class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1219\" src=\"http://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/fullsizeoutput_1d6b-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"495\" />\n\n<img class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1217\" src=\"http://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/fullsizeoutput_1d71-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"495\" />\n\nThe windows had shutters that you can open from the inside, but the design was questionable. The shutters would only partially open due to the curtains obstructing it, not allowing sunlight to enter. The room had a “Garden view” patio, but there wasn’t much view. Even with the door opened, there wasn’t much illumination.\n\n<img class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1227\" src=\"http://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/fullsizeoutput_1d89-768x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"880\" />\n\n<img class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1226\" src=\"http://kliflytravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/fullsizeoutput_1d86-768x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"880\" />\n\nBetween being in the wedding party and the busy schedule, we did not have time to linger around the hotel and relax.
