<html> <h3>With a frown I see that the price of milk has increased again.</h3> <p>And because we can do nothing about it, we just take it and pay for it.  There is the normal 5 o&#x27;clock activity in the supermarket.  An unknown girl passes me by and a women stands and wonders out loud about the prices of vegetables and fruits that keep on going up.</p> <p>I wish somebody would do something about the Christmas music they are playing.  Does anybody even listen to it?</p> <p>I walk faster, very irritated and I just want to get out of here.</p> <p><img src="https://imgoat.com/uploads/2ddea18f00/72018.jpg"/></p> <p><a href="https://imgoat.com/uploads/2ddea18f00/72018.jpg">image source</a></p> <p>I see the old brown jacket first.  Inside is an excuse for a human body.  Small and wrinkled.</p> <p>He dropped something and while he bends down slowly, my eyes goes down to his shoes and pants with the cement stains.</p> <p>He avoids my eyes and walk away limping.  The pain visible on his face and his eyes that looks at the floor.</p> <p>I turn around to go to the bakery.  <em>Have you got wholewheat?  What?  Only tomorrow?  </em>I feel cornered in this place, my irritation high and I want to get out of here.</p> <p>People are talking loudly at the deli and they stand around blocking my way, undisturbed by my &quot;Sorry, excuse me&quot;.</p> <p>The shop is busy.  A child is crying.  I find the toothpaste and quickly sidestep an oncoming trolley.  I find a short line at the tills.  Thankfully.</p> <p>I see the jacket and the shoes and the pants again.</p> <p>His eyes are ripping out my heart.  The sadness, the worry and the hint of hope.</p> <p>It is as if the food on the shelves want to attack him and shout &quot;What are you doing here?  You do not have enough money.  How do you think you will feed your family?  How will there be enough for every body?&quot;</p> <p>He does not have a wallet.  His pants are torn where the pocket use to be.  His face is crumpled up and in his hands he holds an old note.</p> <p>He shuffles from one foot to another when the lady behind the till tells him he does not have enough money.</p> <p>I put my hands over his and says &quot;Don&#x27;t worry, I&#x27;ve got this.&quot;</p> <p>I see the thanks in his eyes and the crooked wave when he leaves.</p> <h3>I just cannot help to think <em>What about tomorrow?</em></h3> <h3>Answer the following questions</h3> <ul><li><em>Who are the two main characters in the story?</em></li><li><em>There are no names for these characters?  Who do they represent?  Do we have people like this in our country?</em></li><li><em>What do you think is the theme of the story?</em></li><li><em>Name 3 differences between the two characters</em></li><li><em>What is the setting of the story?</em></li><li><em>What problem does the one character have?</em></li><li><em>Out of which point of view is the story told?</em></li><li><em>Have you ever helped somebody?  Write an essay on it.</em></li></ul> <p><img src="https://imgoat.com/uploads/2ddea18f00/72022.gif"/></p> <p>                                 <img src="https://imgoat.com/uploads/2ddea18f00/72023.png"/></p> </html>
