Sometimes and even unknowingly,<br> our character could become some else encouragement. We all need it. Whether you are bold or timid,<br> there are moments when every one of us doubts why we are here and if we are doing what we are meant to do. God knows the fears of our hearts. He hears our whispers of doubt \u2013 even when we don\u2019t want to admit they are there. What peace there is in knowing that our God is the God of encouragement! \n\n\nPsalm 11:17 says,<br> \n>You hear,<br> O Lord,<br> the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them,<br> and you listen to their cry.\n\nEven the confident need encouragement from time to time. How much more so the weak and injured? If we are to be God\u2019s reflection on the world,<br> shouldn\u2019t we then occupy ourselves with acts of encouragement?\n\n 1 Thessalonians 5:14 tells us:\n >And we urge you,<br> brothers,<br> warn those who are idle,<br> encourage the timid,<br> help the weak,<br> be patient with everyone. \n\nHebrews 3:13 tells us to,<br>\n>Encourage one another daily,<br> as long as it is called Today,<br> so that none of you may be hardened by sin\u2019s deceitfulness.\n\n\n\nWhat if each of us made the conscious decision to be the encouragement this world d needs? If we resolved to offer encouragement instead of criticism to at least three people every day,<br> how would that effect our community? Our world? None of us know the hour and the day of Christ\u2019s return. But,<br> whenever it is,<br> I know I want to be found lifting my brothers and sisters up and not holding them down.
