bodyHello, I am a recently retired guy from the Buffalo New York area. After forty one years working as a Librarian and Library Director I recently retired. I loved being a Library Director, but the need to work with closely with students and faculty in the day of COVID forced my hand, so now I am retired. Being a librarian I of course enjoy reading and learning new things. So I will on occasion blog about books, all types of books but probably historical fiction or American authors. I am engaged in a number of outdoor activities such as sailing, waterskiing, kayaking and hiking. Most of these activities are not possible in Western New York from October through April, but I have been known to kayak in all 12 months and it is never too ugly outside for a good walk, even in a snowstorm. I have always loved to cook, so now that I am retired I have more time to dedicate to this art. Lately I have been baking apple pancakes for breakfast. ![Uploading image #NaN...]() Apple pancakes are not too hard to make but they do take about 40 minutes from the time you start prep until the meal is ready.
